CCP’s blossoming urban designers have been busy creating their own “Dream Cities” at CCP this spring. Local architects Pamela Anderson-Brulé and her husband Pierre Brulé visited us this month to speak with students about the ways professional architects design and engineer buildings within cities. Students are using measuring skills, recycled materials, and imaginations to brainstorm and put together their own ideas for their own ideal cities. Meanwhile, K-2 students have been bucking up on math skills by making abacus-style numbers sticks. Recently, they also made their own mini-looms out of popsicle sticks and cardboard tube.
